Hello, I recently build a custom computer. The only problem so far is that I can't find a wireless network adapter (and I've never heard of a network adapter before so I'm really confused).
I built my computer recently and have windows 7 home premium 64 bit. I don't know if my motherboard has the right parts for wireless network adaptor or if I'm just stupid and can't find the right drivers.

Motherboard - msi z97 g45 gaming motherboard

Oh boy. A chance to spend someone else's money!

Go shopping and look for "wireless adapters" and see what your budget allows. You can use a USB-plug-in wireless adapter (as opposed to buying a card and inserting into the motherboard) and you'll get comparable performance.

In addition, some USB wireless adapters come with a 'cradle' so the USB device (which serves as its own antenna) can be located in a perhaps better position than the back or front of the computer.

There are low-end "150 N" adapters which are $15 perhaps, then the somewhat faster "300 N" adapters from $15-30, then faster-rated speeds up to the $100 range. All of these depend on the wireless transmitters, though, and their speed. Buying the highest-speed...

Buying the highest-speed adapters won't bring a bit of improved performance if the transmitting router's speeds are there in the first place.

All of these USB wireless adapters will come with drivers or you can download them from their website.
