Windows 8 Update Issues.

Recently, I reset my Lenovo Lynx k3011 back to Windows 8, due to other software boot issues. The reset fixed all that, but now i find myself unable to download any updates via Windows Update. I begin the download, but it will remain at 0% forever. I know I have proper wifi, i can browse the internet on my tablet and Win Update works fine on my Win7 computer.

How long did you wait until calling it quits? Often times it will report that it's at 0% until it starts to install, or even remain at 0% throughout most of the install. I can't tell you why, but I've learned to just let it work and when it's finished it will prompt you to restart. I'd say, depending on the number of updates you've selected, give it a couple hours to just do its thing.

I have waited for at least over 6ish hours each time. I cant even get to the install/restart part by the way, just downloading via WinUpdate

Oh. Well then. That should be plenty of time. Try just doing the recommended updates and even maybe doing only half of them at once. Then finish off what's left after you restart (if it succeeds). Then move onto the optionals.

ok wait it just came up with a message that said sometimes windows updates needs updates and i ran the updater and now its checking for actual updates
