Concerned About 4690k Temps

I just installed a 4690k for a friend of mine with a stock cooler. The idle temp isn't too bad (around 35C), but after a few minutes of gaming it jumps up to around 70C (That's what Core Temp tells me anyway)

I've reapplied the thermal paste twice, but have only noticed a small Temp drop. Are these Temps manageable?

Solution
The temperatures are barely in safe range. No overclock on the cpu? Whats the core voltage?
Make sure to apply as little thermal paste as possible.
Intel says it can run up to 95C before it starts to down clock. Most people say to stay under 80C with that CPU and you are fine. So I would say you are perfect. If you are that concerned though, just buy a CM hyper 212 Evo for it for $30. Then you can have some overclocking fun with it.

hey aren't you the same guy from Overclock.net http://www.overclock.net/t/1509263/i5-4690k-running-at-128c/10#post_22751539

Dude, your internet speeds are ridiculous. Your upload speeds are faster than my download speeds lol.

You gotta bust your ISP balls to get these speeds and unlimited Download, I pay $45 CAD for the internet alone, and then theres the Cable and phone bills which cost the most.

Damn. I pay $92 american for TV, internet and phone. I guess that's why I get about 15 megs down though lol.

Do you have Fiber Optics? If i was in America I would have gotten Verizon Fios.

They dont have Fiber optics in my City sadly :(

Yeah, Berlin.

After all, I can assure you there's absolutely no reason to get that fast internet if you pay a premium for it, though. The bandwith comes in handy when I upload some uncompressed videos at the same time, but single connection is always limited by the other side. I don't think anything higher than 50mbps up+down is really noticeable in everyday use.

Yea I also upload, but upload speed is crap in my City, I basically have the fastest upload speed they could offer in my City. Unless of course Optics comes to the city, and that would be impossible unless the city decides to dig up roads and put optics cables under ground.

Yes I am! You guys were a huge help, but I wanted to play it safe and try another resource.

Anyway, my friend and I played L4D2 for 4 or 5 hours last night and the 4690k didn't go above 61C. I'm guessing the Temps were so bad when I checked them because it was 90F in my room. We played at night when it was around 70F.

EDIT: And yes, your internet connection is NUTS. It's literally over 30x faster than mine.
