my brother got a new gpu for hic computer and just plugged it in not thinking about old drivers or whatnot now nothing displays not even post screen to get to bios we had some instances where it posted seems to be going haywire, currently geyying nothing. tried putting old card back in. nothing so far. is the computer messed up or is there anything to do?

usually when you get no video it is either a the gpu or b ram. pull all the sticks out and reseat one stick then power on, you should now hopefully see video, if still no video try another stick. if still nothing in most cases it is your gpu
funny thing is i had a similar issue this weekend on an old pc, i threw a gpu I had lying around and booted up, nothing. I ended up resetting the bios to optimized defaults via on board gpu and powering off then reseating all the ram and then it started working.
old drivers will not cause issues in msot cases but rather run on windows default driver till you load the correct one
