Hey people of Tom's Hardware,

I currently own a pc with the following stuff. Since you all like lists:

AMD FX-8350 (I think) Processor CPU
NVidia 660 Ti
ASROCK Extreme 4 Motherboard
Crucial 8gb ram not sure of bus speed
Diablotech 600W Silver PSU (Shoot me, I was budget building, this will go if its worth upgrading)
Big box to put it in
Probably forgot something

Approximate Purchase Date: This week? As soon as i know what I want lol.

Budget Range: $2-300 Before or After Rebates; PICKED UP FROM MICRO CENTER MALL!!!

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming

Are you buying a monitor: Maybe. I don't know if the GC upgrade will make it necessary.. you all would know.

Parts to Upgrade: The PSU and the Graphics Card. I currently have an NVidia 600 Ti and recently was given two mined on Sapphire R9 290s. Currently have diablotech (shoot me) and know the R9 can't be powered by it. Would using both cards ever be necessary?

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Micro Center Only. I want to pick this up.

Location: Sharonville, Ohio. Just near Micro Center Mall.

Parts Preferences: Dont care, reliable and undeniable performance.

Overclocking: Not comfortable with it, seems useless.

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe? Would it be worth it to run 2 Sapphire R9 290s together for Sims 4, Civ Beyond Earth and League of Legends? Do I need a new monitor if i do this (currently have 20" 60hz).

Your Monitor Resolution: Currently have 1920x1200 I think, normal size, 20" 60hz. Would it be worth an upgrade running the r9 or both? What do you all recommend for the games listed above.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I want the next level of beautiful. I spent a lot of money on this computer and want it to make everyone elses jaw drop. I have an SSD running the OS if this changes anything?

ADVICE???

Well would it be worth the upgrade? I understand it is a must to spend money to upgrade the GPU but will it be worth it (Sapphire R9 290) over the NVidia 660 Ti?

Wow its true, seeing the games i would be playing. How to do uninstall the software for the old and install the software for the new without a complete refresh of my system? Doesn't seem as simple as add remove programs.

I have seen power draw tests with r9 290s that draw 300w each (maximum) + 120w for overclocked CPU + 100w headroom gets you to about 820w. However it is unlikely that you will hit the max wattage doing normal gaming stuff so you could get away with 750w but I always prefer to go over on the PSU rather than under.

Okay.. Pass on a new monitor they are hella expensive.

I have installed two Sapphire Radeon R9 290s today and got a new 750Watt PSU... Results are dissapointing at best.

I have updated their drivers through Catalyst Control Center and I am getting lower frame rates on two cards rather then one card. Thief was my benchmark and it dropped down. Will test on Lol next... Not sure watt (lol) is going on...!?
