Hello got a gc10 asus desktop. Well we had a thunderstorm one night and noticed my desktop was in a reboot loop. Smiley face comes up :( error detected 0% and an error acpi bios error. I have pulled the hard drive gpu ram. Reset bios. Cmos time.date. Etc. No change trying to boot off of recovery disk. No luck. Do you think mobo is fried?????

I doubt flashing the BIOS will help since anything caused by a thunderstorm usually means hardware damage, but it will do no harm to try. BIOS updates for your PC will be on the ASUS support website which for UK models is here:
http://www.asus.com/uk/support/

For other countries, select here: http://www.asus.com/entry.htm

You'll curse the small text size - - it's an ASUS annoyance that they really should do something about.

Fixed. Reflashed biosbwith latest version
Booted right up. Was doimg updates. Wonder if the update and old bios had a clash. Maybe the thunderstorm dint cause it. All i know is i came home and it wss in a reboot loop.
