I was thinking of getting the R9 270x and narrowed the best brands down to ASUS, MSI, and Sapphire. Everyone says MSI has better cooling than ASUS but Sapphire is the best. Sapphire scares me with its hassles with RMA and people says it dies easily. Your opinion helps a lot!

Thanks!

I've had a few Sapphires, and they've all been brilliant! Have no trouble recommending the brand.
If you've got the cash, get the Toxic variant - that cooler is fantastic.
Good luck, and enjoy whatever you decide on ^_^

I'd go Asus first then Sapphire, have played with a couple of the 270X CU models, had a 280X CU and currently have a Asus 290X Matrix

ASUS or Sapphire, theres no question. The two are so evenly matched its ridiculous. Both have their perks, either is a great investment. Grab whichever is cheaper.

Oh cool thanks! However doesn't MSI have the better clock speeds. I don't think I want to overclock since I am afraid that I'll mess something up.
Thanks again!

Not sure how well they bin the chips to get those OCs, many reviews of artifacts and cards dying after a week or two, basically QC issues, same as their mobos

I thought those were for the R9 280X Series...

Edit: Wow now looking at the reviews for the MSI R9 270X it does seem to have a lot of artifact issues and things such as fans dying after a few months, coil whine... ^^

Generally when it's widespread problems it's QC issues, I see it most often on their mobos, and again a variety of issues (and I don't build on their mobos, but still get more problem calls about them than any 2 other manufacturers put together)

Ok thanks! So I'm guessing the ASUS version is the one I should go for. I am still scared about Sapphire since people say their RMA is horrid due to athlon micro...

Thanks so much I really appreciate it! I am deciding to go with the ASUS R9 270X but I just have one question: Will the ASUS R9 270X fit inside the Bitfenix Comrade Case?

Sorry to bother you, thanks once again!

Should yes, will take a 11.5 inch card with a little to spare, and the Asus 270X is just over 10.5 inches
