Hello guys, i am looking to get a GPU for a midrange pc (currently has an i3 2120 and 4gb of ram) and i was going to buy a new gtx 750ti but someone offered me a second hand hd 7850 for like $40 less. My idea is 1080p gaming on med or med-high if possible.
I seen some benchs of both and the 7850 seems to be a tad better, should i go for it or spend the $40 extra and get the new card?

My psu is a 500w 80+ with 41.5 AMPs on the 12V rail

The real world difference between the two isn't that much. Especially if your friend's HD 7850 is stock and your looking at a factory overclocked GTX 750 Ti (like the PNY OC @ 1202 Mhz vs 1020 Mhz for a stock 750 Ti). That said, if your friend's card is in good shape by all means go for it. $40 is $40! The HD 7850 is a good card (I'm typing this on a PC with one it - MSI Twin Frozr).
