I'm looking to upgrade my current Powercolor radeon hd 7950 with a GTX 770, my PSU has 2 6 pin PCI-E cable and the 770 needs 1 8 pin and 1 6 pin. Could I use a 6-8 pin adapter and still be able to generate enough power? I have a 700W PSU and the 770 only takes 30W more then my GTX 770. My only question is would I be able to use the 6-8 pin PCI-E adapter with no problem?

Get a GTX 970. Faster Cooler Efficient and only 145w tdp. What more can I say! It defeats the Titan many times in benchmarks!
And it needs only 2 six pins
