I'm trying to figure out which height size of memory to go with:
Asus A88X-PRO m/b
AMD A10-7850k APU with temporary stock cooler
no video card used
My problem is that I don't know if the stock cooler will overlap above the ram area because I can't find any info on the stock cooler size and I don't have any experience to know these things. I've image searched and found pics of the APU and cooler but I still can't figure it out. Same for the m/b - I only have pics of it.
I plan to use the stock AMD cooler until I get everything working then upgrade it later.
I won't be gaming or O/C so water cooling won't ever be used.
I'm thinking 8 GB of 2133 MHz
I've been to the G.skill site where put in those specs and get a lot of suitable results. But they have different profile heights:
33mm = 1.3"
40mm = 1.58"
42mm =
54mm = 2.13"
So how do I figure which height will be suitable?
