Hello i was wondering what i need, the volume on windows 8.1 64 bit is low even on high so i think i need a better sound card,

or do i need a amp for head phones i only use head phones or.. Should i get sound card with amp bulit in. thank you for the feed back. please give me suggestions for sound cards with amps.my budget is 50$ but i can go to 70$ if i have to.thanks.i would like to buy from amazon btw

what headphones are you using? and what motherboard/onboard sound chip?

usually any soundchip from the last years should be strong enough to push high volumes through normal ohm-ed headphones (quality may be bad though)

anyway, Asus makes some pretty good soundcards, I prefer Xonars over creative

In Win 7 there is more than one place that can adjust volume.I have had it before where one of the sliders got reduced and made me crazy until I dug around and found it.This may or may not be true in Win8. I would go looking before I spent money.

o trust me i looked haha every thing i tried but do u no any good sound cards or headphone amps or both in one.
