So I'm considering purchasing Metro: 2033 Redux (and possibly Last Light in foreseeable future) for my PC. I'm pretty sure my rig can run the game, but I want to know how fast it can run with ultra settings or high settings. I'd be content with 30-40 FPS, but I'd prefer 50-60 FPS if at all possible.

Specs:
CPU - Intel i5 4430 3.0 Ghz
GPU - Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2 GB
RAM - 8GB DDR3
OS - Windows 7 64-bit

I own Metro: last Light and whilst I don't know the exact frame rate, I'd say that I'm getting 50 fps based on my other games. That's at 1080p with everything on max and AA disabled, as AA has a big impact on the frame rate.

Looking at your spec, I'd say that 50 fps is certainly possible so long as AA is disabled.
Ultra settings... are we considering DOF also and Anti aliasing?
If yes, probably in the 26-30 fps (assuming it takes a similar hit as in the previous versions).
If the engine is more efficient (and that normally translates to lower quality graphics) then Id say 28-35?
