AMD FX 6300 default clock at 55 C while gaming

Hi all.
Specs
m5a97 le
xfx hd radeon 7870
8gb 1866 ram
amd fx 6300
cpu cooler tx3

I have been experiencing screen freezes while play rust, defiance, borderlands 2. Highest temp was 55 C and then the computer freezes on me. My clock speed is at 3.5ghz which is default. Idle the pc is at 30 C. Does this mean my CPU is bad because i keep getting these screen freezes.

55c (under load) is normal for your fx 6300. It should not go beyond 60. Can you check on graphic card's temperature (both idle and stressed conditions) and post the result? Download Unigine Heaven Benchmark (https://unigine.com/products/heaven/) to stress test your graphics card. I could even suggest Furmark but it works only on ONE CORE.

55 c while gaming is not at all high its quite normal.so if u are experiencing screen freeze it may be because of some other reasons so do a memtest , check your hdd for badsector,test your card with furmark for 30 min and cpu with prime 95 for 1 hr or so .
