Hello , I own an AMD Athlon x4 750k cpu and I'll get a CM hyper 212 evo ( I found out that it is better that the corsair h60 ) this month or so , and I would like to ask you guys some tips about overclocking , I'm kinda confused from some tuttorials I watched , and the info that they offered was ... generic . can you guys tell me how to overclock ?

Thank you for the help !
P.S.I will publish my systems specs if somebody asks for them

set voltage to auto and increase multiplier by 0.5 increments and run prime95 smallfft for 10 minutes.

If its stable, repeat, and when its unstable, check your current voltage in CPU-Z for example (under load) set the voltage in manual in bios, set it to the same as the auto voltage and then increase voltage by 2 increments (around 0.01-2v) and run prime95 smallfft again.

example : auto voltage : +1.35v - set manual to 1.36-37 and run p95 (when unstable)

when you have your OC set (as high as you get or hit your thermal limit) run blend for 2-12 hours

And overclock only in Bios, and make sure its updated to its latest vetsion.

Good luck. :)

1) how can I know wether its unstable or not

2) what is blend :3

3) so in order to overclock via bios , i'll have to make adjustments , test perfomance , restart , and do the same thing as far as it goes ?

1 : prime95 - cores fail/Blue screen (download hwinfo and keep it open when testing for temperatures & voltages)

2: prime95 stability testing, there are 3 options;
smallfft (max heat) overclock testing
Blend (max stability) when overclock is finished, final long test.
largefft (max powerdraw) not needed.

3:yes.

I sont know maximum safe voltage for that CPU, but i would say its 1.55v (dont go over this) and try to keep it under 1.45v with your cooler
There isnt really a ceiling for mas Mhz/Ghz, you can go as high as you can/hit thermal limit, or are unstable.

maximum temperature is ~75c try to keep this under 65c
