Left mouse button not working normally

Hi,

I have a logitech m90 mouse running on Windows 7. Was working fine for 3 years or so but today suddenly the left click stopped working.

I somehow got into control panel and swapped the buttons and now left is right and right is left button.

But the odd thing is that now after swapping the buttons, the left button (which is now right) is working fine.

But as soon as I swap again, it stops working. Whats the issue ?

I think that's the issue right there. It's probably time for a new mouse...& since they're fairly cheap, it's not really worth trying to diagnose it.

Faulty mouse is my guess. Try another mouse with the buttons at normal setting (ie not reversed).

Thanks for the response. I don't have any other spare mouse as of now. Have to buy a new one. Will buy a cheapo today and see if it behaves like that or not. Though its very weird that when I swap the buttons then left buttons works fine (as right click). Weird.

Hi,

Okay just posting it here so everyone knows..
The mouse was not faulty. I tried doing all sorts of stuff like changing the usb port etc. but nothing helped. Eventually I installed an antivirus and after the reboot all was fine. Maybe I had a virus which was not letting the left click to work but when I swapped the buttons then left button (which was working as right click) was working fine. So maybe it was virus or something I don't know, but the same mouse is working fine.
