when I patch in to a patch panel port it freezes up the switch what cause it

I patched in 100 ports but 1 specific patch panel port makes it freeze up how can 1 cable port causes it to freeze.

A completely miswired port is not suppose to take a switch down. Does the port even light up. The most common error would be that 2 ports are cabled together, this would be like plugging a cable between 2 ports of your switch. Better switches run spanning tree to prevent loops but if this feature is disabled or if the switch does not support spanning tree you can easily lock a switch up with looping traffic.
