Hi guys I have a i7 4770k and need a new Heat sink because my v6 dosnt sit well and blocks 2 of my ram ports, I want to over clock as much as possible and was not able to because the fan isnt sitting right or I didnt win the Silicon valley lottery. With that being said I would like to know what the best option is for this board/chip?

I heard of the nocta but its kind of ugly in my opinion because I like my coolers and looks of my V6? I also have the HAF coolmasters case.

By the way there is armor on the mobo that blocks the heatsink pipes sometimes.

I would get the CM Hyper 212 EVO and slide the fan up a bit so it won't block the RAM slots.

A h100i would suit you, ideal for small spaces and allows for high ocs

I think the h110 is better at cooling, general rule of thumb for corsair coolers is that the bigger the number the better it is

I know this is off topic but I was looking at ram and was wondering whats the difference in ram speeds from 1600 and up? I have 16gb of vengeance ram, but when I built my computer I didn't put much thought into it. but since I'm going to get a water cooler and have more ram space now what should I do with it? stick with 1600 ram speed or go higher?

The computer is a gaming rig.

so when I OC my ram, do I do it through bios just like cpu OC? Also is there a chance to hurt the ram in any way or blow it out?
