Hello Sir,

My PC configuration is :
Motherboard : Asus P5GC MX1333Processor : Intel Dual Core E2160
Ram : 1GB Kingston
HDD : 160GB Hitachi
OS : Windows 7 Professional 64Bit

My PC starts up very slow. It takes a long time to open the desktop screen. Also takes a long time to save documents in corel draw software. Is there anything to upgrade? How to make it fast? Please help.

Solution
The best and probably cheapest solution is changing your storage configuration a bit. By this you can get an SSD, right now 120GB for $75-$90 and fast. You could migrate/clone your OS to the new SSD but i recommend backing up your important data and doing a fresh install of windows. Also you may need only 1 more GB of ram but i recommend a 2x2GB kit if you can find one cheap.
Note: when getting more Memory make sure you get the same speed and preferably model like Kingston PC2-5300(667MHz), PC2-6400(800MHz)..ect
Also a used SSD is not a bad idea as your PC only supports Sata 3GB/s but the benefits of a new one is greater

You can't be serious, can you? You got the bare minimum for what it takes to run windows 7 and now you expect it run anything more on what? Magic powder?

I don't understand how you people can be so presumptuous, thinking that since you got the bare minimum that then everything will run beloved patriot dory on that computer.

You want to use corel, but...

- your CPU is awful,
- Your memory is so limited that you'd need the proverbial magnifying glass just to find some idle memory,
- Your hard drive won't even fit half the corel files I own,
- God knows what illness you have for a graphics card..

... and yes, graphics card - corel draw, graphics design program => graphics card? Take a hint?

All you can with such a computer is donate it to charity. In the meantime I recommend you install a performance edition of windows XP until you are able to cough up the cash for something decent.

Seesh! What pc's people try to run professional graphics design programs in... :(

You are expecting help, but instead you got scolded... not because you got poor hardware but because you yourself know better and are trying to push your head through a wall!
