At random, when playing a game (has yet to happen during regular tasks like web browsing), my system freezes and produces a set of striped lines. It has happened in CS:GO, Borderlands 2 and Titanfall. Pressing the power button does not turn it off like normal, I have to either hold it down or turn it off via the wall socket. One time, I was still able to communicate with a friend over voice chat, but the screen remained striped. Pressing the numlock button when this occured did not change the light on the keyboard either, and alt tabbing / alt+f4 did not do anything.

I had a similar problem where the pc would just regularly freeze or shut down immediately, but without striped lines and this was caused by the PSU. This was a few months ago and I really do not want to have to go through the process of getting another replacement.

Toms has an article that covers pretty much every power supply out there, and your unit isn't listed at all. This leads me to believe the PSU is not very good at all, and is most likely the cause of your problems. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/power-supply-psu-brands,3762-5.html

Do you have a different power supply that you could try, or maybe borrow a friends that you know is in good working order? Just to let you know, that unit isn't even bronze rated. It says gold, but that is just the casing that houses the power supply.

You can try downclocking your video card a little bit to see if the problem goes away. If it does you are using all the power supply can handle and you should look at replacing the unit ASAP. Go with a...

Go with a reputable brand this time though, like XFX, Antec, Corsair(non CX), Seasonic, Enermax, or Silverstone. Be sure to post the model here before you buy though so we can let you know if it's good or not, and maybe recommend something in your price range.

I edited my last post, so check that out. Make sure that whatever unit you borrow is at least 500w and you have no overclocks set before you test it. You don't want to break anything, lol.
