Hi everyone,

i'm in process of upgrading some core parts of my PC, primarily my graphic card and cpu along with a new motherboard. I'm on a tight budget on around 380-400 euros max.

I've been looking and consulting a friend of mine over the last month to see whats the best i can get for that price (keep in mind my primary concern is that it's good enough for gaming) and this is what i've come up with:

- MOBO - Asrock 990FX Extreme3
- CPU - AMD FX-Series FX-8320
- GPU - DD Radeon R9 270A

my primary concern was:

Is this motherboard good enough for this cpu and this graphic card? i'd assume it is but want to double check

if not, what other motherboards are around for similar price?

And in general, what do you think of this build, is it good or will it have problems? if so, can you reccomend me some other parts please

thanks

Yes that MoBo is good for the CPU. And that's a good medium-high gaming build.

Where are you from?

You can lower the CPU to FX 6 series and then use the extra bucks to get R9 270X. Something like this:
CPU: AMD FX-6350 3.9GHz 6-Core Processor (€106.84 @ Amazon Espana)
Motherboard: ASRock 990FX Extreme3 ATX AM3+/AM3 Motherboard (€89.00 @ Amazon Espana)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB Tri-X Toxic Video Card (€195.00 @ Amazon Espana)
Total: €390.84

Thanks both. Unfortunately CPU is on its way so not in a position to change it, but just wanted to make sure other parts were alright.

@MeteorsRainings I'm from Croatia :)

Ty again. While you're at it i got 2 more quick questions:

1) what do u think of this MoBo? - http://www.msi.com/product/mb/760GAP43_FX.html#hero-ove... - friend suggested it but I didn't hear great things about it

2) i currently got Corsair cx430. Was reading around and it should be enough volatge for my new parts, Is that correct?

1. A 9xx MoBo is best suited for OCing this CPU, moreover, MSI is not the best to go when you're planning to OC.

2. CX is not too good, but considering you won't be getting a monstor GPU, you can give it a try. Be careful while OCing though, I don't think it'll be able to manage it.

Alright. I wasn't planing to OC it at all (at least not for now) so I should be ok then. Thanks again.
