The chip is on stock clocks so it has turbo boost kicking in.. But I have noticed something, while stress testing my boards software states the chip is running at 54. Which is pretty damn hot since it is on a corsair H80i.
But, when being stressed in prime 95 I have yet to see cpu-z voltage hit 1.4 like it's supposed to be clocked at. And during testing every 4 seconds the frequency will drop from 3.5 to 2.9 and the voltage readout in cpu-z will drop and go up and down aswell.
Is there something wrong with my power supply or my motherboard? Or is my chip bad.. These are all brand new parts so I hope I don't have to send them back and replace. :/
Also as well, when the frequency drops to 2.9 the bus speed does not change.
Another EDIT: The first hwinfo readout maxed at like 36.8 but when I stopped prime 95 it spiked to 42. It does this a lot when opening software aswell.. The temp will just spike. I have no idea what is going on with it..
