Hi
I have £50 to spend on a motherboard, What is the best motherboard for that price which will run the AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor comfortably please?
I had looked at this board ( Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 - GIGABYTE AM3+ but im not 100% sure on what its like, so any personal info would really be appreciated.
I will also be using the following
Amd radeon R7 260x graphics card
8 GB - DDR3 RAM 1600 MHz DDR3-1600/PC3-12800

Cheers in advance :)

The GA-990FXA-UD3, is probably the most popular board. It has it all and does it all.

The GA-78LMT-USB3, will work too. It is a decent board. Not so many bells and whistles but it will get the job done.

Have used it for a few builds that required less money and have no complaints.

If you can't afford Spooky's suggestion you always drop it down to a GA-970A-UD3(p)

That 970 board is a good choice too.

The 970A-UD3P, would be a better choice than the 78LMT-USB3, for sure.

Yup, it's a solid board for its price. It also sports an 8+2 power phrase design for comfortable overclocking if you want to in the future :D

Definitely. I would get this motherboard.

Boot into BIOS first and set it up starting out with optimized defaults, then especially the memory timings and speed. Make sure the BIOS is set to AHCI for better SSD performance.

What is the model of your SSD? What error messages do you get when trying install windows?

Boot with the install disk inserted and rapidly tap the F12 key to get into boot options. Select the Disk drive.

Finally got it up and running spooky. With the GA-990FXA-UD3 board i had to use sata ports 3 and 5, once i connected the ssd and rom into them windows installed fine. Strange set up.

I would use sata0 for the boot drive. It shouldn't make any difference for the other sata devices.

But if you have windows already loaded. Don't switch the ports. Lot's of times this creates problems.
