Anyone know where I can order the ROG Swift right now?

I want to order the ROG Swift monitor that Asus made right now!! Please let me know where I can order it from. I was checking Newegg all night and they had nothing. Now I checked it at around 10:00AM EST and it was right on the front page so I clicked buy now and it says out of stock :( I called them and the lady told me they only received 99 of them and they are pending orders.

I ended up ordering it on amazon. It shows a delivery estimate of 8/29. I just kept refreshing the page every minute or so and eventually it showed up as available and I was able to order it.

It seems no one has it in stock at the moment, only pre-orders. I've been stalking amazon all day too, they don't even have a page up for it yet. This is getting frustrating.

Thanks for the reply Tunz. From what I've seen, the only websites that have them up for sale at all are newegg, bestbuy and tigerdirect. There are probably others but I don't know where. I was stalking newegg all night on the 26th and they had nothing up there and at about 5:00AM I layed down to watch TV. At around 10:00AM I decided to check newegg on my tablet and saw an advertisement for the ROG Swift right on the home page. I clicked buy now and it said they are out of stock. I called them up and at first the rep didn't really know anything so I asked her to look into it and she found out that they only received 99 of them total and they were sold out immediately and she could not tell me when they would be getting more. After this I stalked the page for a while and at first it just said out of stock and then a "notify me" button came up. I signed up for the notice and when I checked the page again an hour later there was an "on back-order" button. So basically I was able to pre-order it and hopefully they will send me one from the next shipment. Some time after I pre-ordered it the button was gone from the back and the "notify me" button was back and is stil there. I'm assuming they filled up the quota for the pre-orders.

I also called TigerDirect and their rep told me that they will only be getting them on September 13th and they are only getting 50 units and already have 60 on back-order.

The rep from bestbuy did not know how many they received or when they would be getting more. I told him that it doesn't make sense to me that they would give these big retailers so few units and he told me they may be doing it on purpose to build up demand. He said that is what Sony did wit the PS4 by giving them only a handful of units.

If you see anything please let me know and I'll do the same. Also, I really don't know much about monitors but from what I've read this one seems to be the best one for gaming. Would you agree with this?

Frys also has it listed on their site, saying it will ship on 9/9. I spoke to a rep at amazon and she had no idea when they would be available. There is a 3rd party seller on amazon that claims to have 5 of them, but is charging $977, F that.

I would have to agree on the monitor for gaming. The picture may not be the best out there due to the TN panel, but with a 1ms response time, g sync, and 1440p it's exactly what I want in a gaming monitor. I'm currently using an older Samsung 23" 60hz 1080p monitor with gtx 780ti's in sli, so I need the swift like now.

Yea SLI 780 tis is def overkill for a 1080p monitor. I'm currently running one MSI 780ti gaming. I'll probably need to buy another to run games on this monitor closer to its full potential but I don't know if I'm willing to spend that much more lol.

As for the monitor though 1440p,1MS,144hz,Gsync,ULMB,3D all of that is very good but one of the biggest things for me is the visual quality of a monitor. I'm currently playing on a plain old Dell 24inch monitor that I bought about 6 years ago. It has served its purpose and is still running strong with no dead pixels or anything wrong with it. Back when I was still playing WoW my friend had a 24 inch Ultrasharp monitor from Dell that he bought for around $500.00. When I played on his setup I saw right away how much better the colors on his monitor were. They were much more vibrant and just overall much better looking. As important as all the features this monitor has are, I feel that those colors are equally important for me.

I know that this monitor is a TN panel but from everything I've heard and read I gather that it is a top of the line TN panel not to be compared with the lower tier ones. It is 8bit, not 6bit w.e that means. From the reviews I've seen everyone has said that the picture quality and color on it is amazing even though it's not an IPS panel. I really hope this is true. It doesn't have to be the same as the top of line IPS panels but I would hope that the colors would be something similar to an Ultrasharp monitor from dell like my friend had.

Yesterday I checked Amazon and saw there were 3 in stock and then 2 and then 12 and then sold out again. Apparently they are putting them up in batches and if you are quick you can order one like you did. I was going to order it from Amazon also but they charge $70.00 tax and I'd rather not pay it.

Hopefully Newegg will receive more soon and send mine out. I spoke to them on the phone yesterday and the only information they were able to give me is that they are getting 320 units but could not tell me when. I'll keep checking Amazon and if Newegg is taking too long I may just order from them instead.

When you get the monitor please let me know of your thoughts on it :) and of course Enjoy!
