Depreciation would be calculated based on the total amount you originally paid for the system and the rate of depreciation each year. So for instance you have a $2200 system and it depreciates at a rate of $400 per year and you've had it for two years it would be worth about $1400 after two years.

It might be that value, but you won't get that out of someone buying it unless they are aware of what's in there and they want it. Be willing to accept less for it if you plan to sell. Otherwise you probably won't sell it.
