Putting Mini PCI-e wireless card in USB adapter

I'm looking to take a mini PCI-e wireless card (e.g., http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012YYITW
into a USB adapter (e.g., http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA50M1R01739 ). The USB adapter has a SIM slot, which I don't need. I'm wondering, given the correct drivers are installed, is this a viable setup? At the moment, I'm not overly concerned with the wireless performance. If this were to work, I'd buy antennas to run from the wireless card.

Any help or direction is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

But why don't you simply buy a usb WLAN (b/g). Netgear, TP link, many of them provide the usb solution. And there is no significant difference between g and n wlan till now because the average ISP's speeds are limited. Though it may be helpful If you want data sharing between 2 systems with flash drives installed. For that put a little more bucks and get a high speed b.g.n wlan!.
.
O just buy a cheap one with only b config.

The problem isn't a simple 802.11 connectivity issue. Although the card I linked was 802.11g only, I'll actually be using 2.4/5GHz 802.11n traffic. I need to be able to capture 5GHz 802.11n traffic (monitor mode). I've not found a firmware/chipset combo capable of doing this -- except the build in Mac card. Believe me, I've tested upwards of 15 USB wireless adapters...

OK.
What about "Intel centrino ultimate n-6300" ?
The items you specified are compatible. But I don't know if they will serve your purpose. And where will you get the drivers/
If your are using this on windows 8.1 may be you can use the mPCIe on USB adapter but I am not sure If you will get it work because of the drivers. The drivers provided wih usb are for running a 3g from sim to a system. Or I guess it is the old form of a dongle.

I'm looking to run on anything but Windows. For the original setup I linked, I'm looking to use it with a Mac, as I assume the drivers will already exist. For the card you linked, it looks like it will run under Linux but I don't recognize the chipset and am unsure if it would support monitor mode (https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Intel_Centrino_Ultimate-N_6300).
