Hello,

I have a good deal on 2 pny gtx 770 4gb OC2.(http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FE2IO48/?tag=ppxe-20) With borderlands the Pre-sequel. I am able to get 2 of them for 630 bucks shipped. Would I get better performance from that than I would say a 780ti or a Titan or something.

I would think 2 770's in SLI with 8gb of ram and being overclocked to 1.15 ghz would perform better and for the price, I think its the way to go. But maybe someone may have more information on what would be better.

Here is some PC specs
CPU: I5-4670k
Mobo: Asus Sabertooth z87
Ram: 32 gb 1600 XLR8(4x8gb sticks)
PSU: Raidmax RX-1000AE 1000w

VRAM doesn't stack, so you would have a total of 4gb with 770 SLI. I've always been a proponent of one high end single card. You would get better performance with SLI in games that support it well, but many games do not. Unless you are pushing for really high resolutions, the single card would usually be the more stable, less power hungry option.

My preference for a high end single card, besides the outrageously priced Titan Black, is the 780 6gb. The 3gb buffer of the 780ti is good enough for now, but might not be in the very near future, next gen games seem to gobble up the VRAM. Two examples would be Watch Dogs and Titanfall, which both use well over 3gb on ultra textures.

If you are pushing for high resolutions that VRAM number...

If you are pushing for high resolutions that VRAM number will only need to be increased, which then you could do the 780's in SLI when the single 780 starts lagging behind.

So, SLI provides more power than the 780ti/780 6gb, but also has it's own set of problems like stuttering and poor driver/game support.

My personal goal is to get over 60 fps on my games. I have a 144 mhz monitor and I want to get as high FPS as possible with the best possible graphic settings.

Mostly this will be for Star Citizen, Fallout 4, DayZ, Metro series, Maybe some planetside 2, maybe.

Right, the 780 is actually significantly faster than the 770 I am talking about 30-40 frames on BF4 faster. I get close to 90-100 fps on BF4 ultra on my 780. The main issue with the 780ti honestly is the vram, because it does blow by the 780 in terms of power. Vram is a serious issue nowadays. In my opinion you pretty much need 4gb to future proof at all. So you have 4 choices in Nvidia: GTX 770 4gb, 780 6gb or the Titan/Titan Black that's it, would not recommend anything else.
