Alright, so my current system is in massive need of a graphics card upgrade.
Mainboard: MSI Z97 PC Mate
CPU: Intell Core 2 Duo G3528 3.2GHz (4.3 GHz with the OC Genie)
GPU: Zotac GeForce GT 610 DDR3 2GB Synergy Edition (I don't even know what that means! It was cheap, and I regret buying it somewhat.)
RAM: 4GB SuperTalent DDR3 800MHz (this is my next planned upgrade after the graphics card)
HDD: One 250GB WD and one 2TB WD Caviar Green

My budget is $100 right now, so I am looking for any recommendations around that price point.

I also have an old HD5450 1GB DDR3 laying around, and I'm not sure if that would be better in my system or if my current card is.

Solution
R7 260 is the card you want. I am fairly sure the 5450 would be faster than the 610. The 610 is a really old card that got rebadged multiple times and was terrible when it first came out aswell.

I am almost positive he meant pentium G3528 instead of core 2 duo. Considering he has a z97 mobo.

Yes, it is a G3528

I'd be wary about that, the cards they are selling are used and the sellers don't have very many ratings.

best of the best buy of year is this... if u can somehow add extra 50$ will rest in peace, your pentium will raped

EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti SC (2GB GDDR5, 128bit, CUDA Cores: 640)

it has new Maxwell Architecture and do not need any 6-pin power, consumes only 60W. supports Display Port 1.2 with G.Sync....I can't recommend any other lower priced GPU

yap forgot about it, here GTX 750 also very nice card for price 114$

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compare.php?cmp[]=2903&cmp[]=322&cmp[]=2825

look at this benchmarks, 750 has far better score than HD 7770 or R7 260 and it consumes much less power

3241 - GTX 750 60W
2906 - Radeon R7 260 95W
2154 - Radeon HD 7770 90W

why hawke213x u choose R7 over 750? do not understand..
GTX 750 - do not need 6-pin power, it consumes about 30W less power, much smaller, much newer technology...and it beats R7 in benchmarks, what do u want more? 4$ is dealbreaker?

only thing I found is more streameing cores vs cuda, but who cares when overall it is has better result, as u know bro...
