This time, we got buzzing. Antec Truepower 750 W 80 Plus Gold. It lets out a quiet buzz randomly. If this is normal, then that's fine (but the way my Corsair operated implies that it's not). It's audible in amongst my air cooling, but quite quiet. It doesn't seem to do it for very long too. If this is my PSU going bad then that will be two Antec units RMAd in the space of three weeks. Weird how my budget Corsair Cx600M worked without issue for 6 months (although initially I thought I was getting coil whine, which I think turned out to be my optical drive which makes a high pitched noise when it's working) and they're supposed to be garbage. Antec who I hear are good I have reason to question twice in three weeks. Although this could just be normal operation of their PSUs, I don't know. As I type this, the noise has mysteriously stopped, no idea the cause.

Bonus question, I tried to fix my username filename because when I set up my PC last time I didn't use my real name, so while my account shows as my real name the filename doesn't. I thought I could create a new account and just use that to save editing the registry or setting Windows up again, but then I saw 1) the new account is not Admin, 2) I'd lose all my settings like wallpapers and a number of programs like Dropbox, 3) I'd have to set up my file libraries again :/  So am I just stuck with that username file name?

Hi, the buzzing is coil whine, because some wiring of the chokes and coils inside the PSU are not supertight around them and when the coils and chokes get warmer, they expand and that creates the coil whine. That is just annoying sound, but not negative. If it is too annoying to you, you can RMA the PSU, but with any PSU, you always have the risk of that. Copper wires cannot be absolutely perfectly wired around coils and then the coils still expand and create frictional noise.
