I have a L75D Satellite and the screen goes black with just a cursor after user log in

Needing help with a start up problem. Toshiba L75D lap top. After loging in the screen goes black with just a cursor. Any Ideas?

Create a different profile, and see if it happens on the new profile.

It does it on both existing profiles and I can't add one. It won't get past the sign on screen.

But from what I gather if both profiles are corrupted than the main window user directory has gotten corrupted. Gl with this one?
