I am planning on buying my first custom pc for around $1000.I play a very wide variety of games and I want your input on what you think. Here are the specs.

cpu: i5-4670k
gpu: MSi R9 270x
ram: 8gb(2x4) DDr3
mobo: MSI z87- G41
psu:650watt
HDD: Seagate barracuda 1TB
and a standard optical drive and case

I also want a SSD, but it wont fit into the budget. Is anywhere i can save some bucks for that aswell?

I would say this build above is pretty well budgeted and manages to squeeze a SSD in.

Only thing I would change is to maybe add a cpu fan if you're planning to overclock. It's only about $25 dollars above budget.

Edit: i just realize that you don't have a case with that build.

Case?

He didn't include a case , maybe he has one. For the CPU Cooler if he's not going to overclock anytime soon maybe he can wait for a month and get a good CPU fan then overclock.

I wouldn't recommend stepping down the GPU .

Thanks mate :D

I assumed that the OP forgot about the case because it's his first time building lol. Even if he gets a cheap case, it won't go over TopLuca's build that much in terms of price.

The Corsair 200R should be cheap and efficient also It wouldn't break the budget :D

Thanks for your suggestion. I am from Canada and a lot of these prices are different but your list has been very helpful towards my decision.

Your Welcome :)
