Hi there guys, so I've been having problems since I BOUGHT this processor, It's just driving me crazy, I really dont know what to do at this point, from my "beginner" experience.. So I bought a 6800k, installed a very simple heatsink, got 2 fans more but I dont know how to put them correctly, the case is a regular one, its ATX, so literally my problem is I can't seem to lower the temps, its crazy it reaches 47-40C on Idle and 60+c running TIBIA, u know what that game is? I mean its 2D even a pentium 3 can run it pretty well, why this one cant?

Im hoping to get some help/advices in what should I buy... and thanks

Wont even take a screenshot of running CS:GO/Tibia/League of Legends cause I will probably wont have time before the "Safe shut down" thing turn off the pc..

Room Temperature: 25,6 C°
My PC specs are:
Voltages:
CPU V: 1.181
CPU NB/GFX V: 1.162
DRAM V: 1.67V
SB V: 1.10V
AMD 6800K @4.1Ghz
8GB Ram Blu HyperX
500GB HDD Toshiba
Windows 8 64Bits
1 CPU Fan Cooler, 1 Cooler Master which I dont know what do with since I dont find any "good position" (Reach up to 4200RPM)
1 Fan that I put back front to deal with the heat that the Power Supply makes..

And the coolers position, I know this is probably isn't even the best. I just tried to in the Power Supply area(Upper part) make the air go out, and In the CPU area (which is being cooled by the Cooler Master" make the air go out making it push it up to the front which is opened

Yes it is really hot, sometimes something strange happens, for example I open CSGO and I just leave the pc, having CSGO in the lobby idle, when I come back, the pc is like Hibernate(the keyboard is on, and the monitor is like off) and when I check the pipes they are WAAAY really hot, one day I thought I wouldnt be able to use it again, and I had the pc at the AC of my room for like 3hrs letting it refresh cause it was tooo hot

You need an actual CPU cooler, if you want to lower your CPU temps. I don't like big tower coolers so, I use an Enermax T.B. Vegas Duo. It's a downflow-type cooler and it keeps my system quite cool (it idles at 30°C and it's never been over 50°C, under load).

Here are some reviews of some of the best coolers:

And an old review of the cooler I use:

By the way, at the moment, my ambient room temp is 33-34°C (no windows, or A/C, quite hot!) and my CPU (i5 2500k OC'd to 4.2GHz) is running at, 37°C, GPU (GeForce 760 4GB) is at, 36°C. I'm not putting anything under a load, just have 20 Fire Fox tabs open.

If you're idling at 40C then you probably have a software problem getting accurate readings. At idle these chips report sub-ambient temps. (they aren't actually running at sub-ambient temps, but the numbers they report are below ambient).

Pile-driver core-temp reporting is very precise, but very inaccurate.

The only way you would truly idle at 40C is if you had cool/quiet and all C states disabled in BIOS.

Downloaded Core Temp, and it shows CPU #0 0°C in Min and Max :(

EDIT:
Okay guys so I made some space for the PC in a new area, WHILE I save money for a new cooler, and it reached max temps of 65C° 63C°, I know it isnt good since the "Full load" temps are 50-55C° and MAX safe temp is 73C° but I was wondering if I can use it with that Temp(60-65C°) for approximately 2weeks or 3..? or you think I will get a fried processor? Thanks!

Ok im installing it, one thing i just realised is that in the BIOS the temperature goes all way up like 0,5 per 0,5 every 20 secs.. for example when I turn it on, press DEL, open the BIOS the Temperature is at 35C°, then it goes 36, 37,38 at 40 it start to go per 0,5, 40.5,41,41.5,42 and it reached 60+ what does that means?

EDIT:
[strike]Thermal Margin JUST using Google Chrome is at 54.9-63.1 °C[/strike] K got it, dont take thermal margin on small loads..

EDIT2:
Opened a lot of browsers, a lot of Tibia Clients and Margin is at 24 C° is that true info? sorry but im traumataized with the temps

That means it is VERY COOL.

It's a margin, meaning lots of thermal headroom. Your other programs were reading the signal wrong.

It's normal for the thermal margin to shrink under load. Give it some heavy load and view it. If it gets to zero it will automatically slow down the processor until it is back in spec.

Okay last one before I give the topic the solution.. I just opened the case and touched the pipes of the Cooler and they are really hot like never in a life they're going to be at 24 C°.. im still not sure about it lol

PD: Okay so I opened a bit of things more, margin is now at 14 C°, in conclusion, what thermal margin shows is like how much temperature does it needs before it Throttle, right?

24 is the margin, it's not the temperature. The heat sink should be hot under load, but not quite hot enough to burn you.

Yes, 14C is still an acceptable margin, but I would get a beefier cooler so that you have more margin before it throttles, because if it reaches zero and throttles, it's going to make your performance very poor.
