A friend of mine was going through his storage and found his old Momo racing wheel (this one:
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support/320?crid=411&osid... ). He has a G27 now, but the Momo was still in pretty great shape so he asked if I wanted it so we could hop online and do some racing.
The only issue with the wheel is the shift knob on the right side. He used it quite a bit, so it's amply worn (in fact, it can move one way too easily and the other too stiffly). I'll normally use the paddles since I'm spoiled by real H-shifters, but I had a thought to use it as the e-brake for rally and drift races. There's a shift motor on the left side of the wheel as well for people wanting a right-drive wheel, so my thought is to switch that motor (seeing as how it was never used and is thus perfect) to the right side and thus refurbish the wheel, giving me my e-brake. Built in spare parts, if you will

Is this possible? Anyone have any info on doing this? It looks like the wheel is easy to disassemble, and I can't imagine it would be difficult, but I thought I'd look into it before I dig in and hurt something.
