Hello, I'm having problems with my H100i, first I had the loose backplate problem and ended using some rubber washers on the backplate as it seem to work with a lot of users, but after that, I realized that I'm still having the same temps.

This is my build:

Cooler: Corsair H100i
CPU: i7 4790k
GPU: MSI GTX 780 Ti
MB: ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 16GB 1866Mhz CL9
SSD: Samsung 840 Evo SSD 250GB
P.S: EVGA SuperNOVA 850G

My CPU is at stock speeds and voltage, no OC.
Current ambient temp: 26º
Corsair link profile: performance.
Temps on idle are 36-39º
Temps at full load with Prime95: 100º

The fact is that it doesn't matter which fan profile I use(performance or quiet), the temperatures are the same.

I would appreciate your help.
Thank you in advance.

Idle is fine obviously, but load temps are horrible. Either you didn't get the mounting correct, lack proper thermal paste installation, or the pump isn't working correctly.

Do you have the pump plugged into a fan header that is always at full 12 volts? Do NOT plug the pump into the CPU FAN header or any fan header that is controllable.

What backplate?

You should be able to see if your fans are running fast enough. Also double check your pump is running at 22000 rpm. We've seen a few only running at 900 rpm on these forums.

Is Corsair Link all working OK?

Don't run Prime 95 again till you have this sorted.

You should be getting 35C max opn idle and 50C max gaming.

I hope you haen't overclcoked your CPU! Wait till temps are sorted.

Yes I've the pump connected to the CPU Fan, which one could I connect it to? , I think that they all are controllable...

Thank you for your fast answer!

You did take the plastic off the cpu block/pump I hope?

The pump is running at 2288 rpm, Corsair link is working and fans in performance mode sound like a JET!! hehe

also thanks for your help.

YES, of course!

To get those temps, the CPU is overclocked too much or the cooler isn't seated properly.

The CPU FAN header is where the radiator fan(s) should be connected to. The pump should be connected to a fan header that you set in BIOS at full speed. Either that or connect the pump to any PSU Molex connector with an adapter. That pump connection may be your whole problem.

EDIT: I forgot that cooler had Corsair link. It has a different connection sequence. But be sure to follow the instructions. You don't want your pump to run at any speed other than FULL speed all the time.

If everything is working per Corsair link, recheck your cpu temp from bios/uefi.

If still too high, re-seat the cpu block.

I've no option, i need to connect the pump at CPU fan header, but I've checked that the pump is running at full speed according to corsair link.

I've tried the washers trick, but with rubber washers, this time I used some solid nylon washers and it did the trick.
Now temps at load are around 70ºs with prime 95 on small FFTs torture test (which is the hardest one)
