I have a 980W power Supply in my computer, I am using a Xeon 2.4GHz 8 core cpu, 2TB Hard Drive, 1TB hard drive, 32GB Ram, an extra usb 3.0 PCI-e drive, and a PCI-e SSD, how much power do you guys think I still have for my GPU? (looking at a GTX 780). This is because I was told that I don't have enough power to run the card at full power, is this true? And how much power would I need to add, or do I have enough to run 2 770s or 2 R9 280Xs

I'm not sure exactly what their it is, but I am 100% sure it isn't tier 5.

oops, clicked best answer when answering email... but idk, I think it's made by apple, and I've seen people run a gtx 780 on the model from 2006. So it can't be that bad.

I (unfortunately) don't know how to check on Mac OS. Could you either way tell me how you would check on windows and good/bad things to look for, so when I get windows (soon) I could boot up into it and see what I stand at (I am interested in starting gaming, because I need a better graphics card for my actual workstation needs regardless)
Also, I can add an extra PSU (there is a specific way to do it) so what PSU would you recommend?

Sorry, I accidentally said screenshot (silly me), I meant an actual photo. The only way to tell what PSU you have is to open up the PC and check out the label on the side of the PSU.

I wouldn't add a PSU, I'd just replace the old one completely, assuming your case can take it and your motherboard is compatible (it might not be since it's from Apple). The only way to know if it's compatible is to measure the length, width, and height of the current PSU, and check out if the motherboard uses standard 20/24-pin and 4/8-pin connectors.

The problem is I can't... haha :s But yea, thanks for all the tips anyway, from research, I've seen that I can add another 450W power supply and run 2 GTX Titans, In SLI in windows and as separate cards in OS X.

Thanks :D I'm actually planning on using r9 280Xs, because they are pretty cheap, preform pretty well in games, and have a pretty good resolution, what would you recommend (<450 budget, I know I said GTX 780 before, but that would be when the 800 series comes out and prices drop)
