i am building this for gaming, no overclocking no video edition or anything fancy except gaming

CPU:Core i5-4590 -stock cooling £147

Motherboard:GIGABYTE Z97M-DS3H(£68) - i am most unsure about this, so i just picked a cheap motherboard since i will not use crossfire or anything just a single graphic card )

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory (£71)(pick this because i am alreay using this brand on my other pc, anyother suggestion is welcome

Harddrive:Seagate Barracuda 3.5 inch 2TB 7200 RPM (ST2000DM001)(£57) (well this doesnt really matter may change to a 3 or 4 TB)

Video Card:MSI AMD R9 280 (£166) dont know if this brand is good as i only used Asus before but it is much more expensive)

case:Zalman Z11 Plus HF1 ATX/M-ATX Mid Tower Case (£50) can anyone confirm if it fit my grahic card?

power supply :Corsair CX750 Builder Series CX 750W (£60) picked this because it is corsair and really cheap. is 750 watt over kill? should i just buy 600watt? because i kinda want a little leerway for future upgrade(single graphic card only)

Optic drive i just get it from a old pc

Total £619 my total budget would be under £700(all shop from amazon uk) so feel free to recommend if a part is little more expensive but much better

Can someone confirm my build is ok and all parts works fine? the one thing i am most uncertain about is the motherboard so just just pick the latest chipset(Z97) and a low price motherboard, so please recommend a better one if needed. and also powersupply, i just assumed it has all wire i need and corsair is a good brand and picked it. is there any better recommendation?

Since you mentioned you will not overclock, you don`t need a Z97 motherboard, and also no "K" version CPU. Let me know if you want to have the possibility for OC in the future, and I can shift some parts around.
The only thing missing in my recommendation would be an SSD, as it would make your system a lot faster during regular use.

oh thanks, i am building this for my friends, i build my pc 3 years ago so kinda forgot fuzzy about this.

CPU-i not not sure if i5 4690 worth £10(6%) price different since it is only 200mhz different and i dont think it makes any different in gaming. do you think its worth it?

Motherboard- since it is a mid tower i think its better to go for a ATX form factor for better cooling and space for easy install, and since cheap Z97 and H97 is around the same price would it not be better to just go for a Z97(tho i can almost certain will not overclock) unless a similar price H97 mobo would have much better features or performance. so can you recommend me a cheap ATX MOBO?

Memory: i checked but the deal seems to be gone and they are the same price on amazon(£1 different)

video card: My friend is happy with 280

case:nice case i think i will go with this. but it haves no fan controll will it be very loud since it run at 100% load?

PSU:hmm £80, will the Corsair CX750 not be enough? its £20 cheaper and i never use Evga before. If cx series is not good what about RM? Evga 750w or Corsair RM 650w which would you choose? actually since i dont oc, i think 650 is more than enough, should i just get a EVGA Supernova 650W? £60 on amazon same price as corsair CX650

i really want one and SSD has gotten alot cheaper but i dont think its worth it yet, my thinking is that if i waste £100 on SSD, i will load and start up much faster but if i add that £100 on my video card then i get a much much more powerful video

Don`t go CX PSU. You can go with RM if the Corsair brand tickes your fancy, just not CX as it has pretty bad capacitors that degrade faster than others.

For no OC you can go with what mobo you want, but the Z97 will give you possibility to change CPU in the future for OC, while keeping the mobo.

In the end, it`s up to your friend and what he likes.

H97 is both fine so can you recommend me a ATX mobo?

i am fine with other brand PSU but io think 650 watt is enough so i like to save money if i can, so do you have any recommendation?

Thanks

btw is there any particular reason for that motherboard? £55 seems abit cheap was aiming at around £80, making me a little doubt about qualities. but i guess this will do
