So, I have a landline at my house, and I wanted to some how be able to make and receive calls through my PC as if it were just another phone connected. My router which deals with my phone is an Arris TM822 from Optimum (Comcast) and my PC is custom built. Is there something I can hook into a PCI slot or something and some additional software to work like Skype or Google Voice, but I don't want internet calling. I only want it to work as if it were a corded phone base (or whatever those are called).

Thanks!

All you need is Google Voice. Its a free program from google you can create and gets merged into your gmail account. You can use it to make free phone calls in the USA and Canada.

I use it, keep the website open and get all of my phone calls regulated through it. I also use it and a 2nd program on my cell phone to have unlimited calling without using minutes anywhere I have wifi.

The only reason I don't want Google Voice is I want my landline to stay operational. I have wireless phones around the house that others use, and I just want to use my PC as if it were just another wireless phone.
