How Do I Copy Scratched DVD's That I Want To Back Up On My Computer Without It Playing Out Of Sync

I came across this great DVD software called E.M. Scratched DVD Copy. It copied my DVD, but then I noticed that the dvd was out-of-sync. I tried burning it at a slow speed (4x) with Nero Burning Rom from my computer. It's still out-of-sync. I am using Windows 8.1 Professional.
