How's it going, i'm looking for advice and good recommendations from all like minded people. I've started two smal time businesses and are preparing for a third, the first two being a computer & network repair business on my own and a garage door repair business primarily owned by a family member. The third business being a local computer shop opening in the near future, invested into and co-owned by a college friend.

I'm looking to understand and build some good directions. I would love advice on the best means of small time advertisement, such as the best and worst sites to advertise with or companies to allow work with you on marketing... local ads and popularity, website traffic? Average pricing... and anything to be worried about a long the way.

I'm also looking for recommendations for who I should hire to do all of the following... (or if I should hire anyone), or how much of it I can do or attain on my own......
... in terms of websites, graphical ads or pamphlet pdfs, programs to use to do those things, popular social media accounts and upkeep, consistent reviews & feedback sites (local or not) logos, pictures, unique or generic designs, traffic consistency, deals & strategies, business organization programs, support & guarantees, availability to calls and online support, phone apps... How should I manage all of this? What are the best methods to complete each of these? or the best ways of going about hiring people or a company to do these things for low budget? and 2014 quality? if I want everything to be great quality, with official appearances and names, with proper styling & up to date methods of upkeep ... what are all of my options?

I have a lot of planning and training to do... but some of this would be of great progress

Thanks :)

That has alot of questions in one loaded post, being a small repair shop owner i'll try to at least point you into the right directions on some of this. Please forgive if the information is not in the same sequence as your post

As far as hiring, professionals in their field will achieve better results, however that all depends on your initial capitol, basically do you have money to burn on employees/contractors.

For websites, information from my contracted web designers, WordPress site currently hold SEO better then other content managers, My company uses Joomla only because i've been using it since the company started and rely on some of its extensions. Again, hiring a specialist will get you better results if you have the money to spend. For joomla and I believe wordpress also the Artisteer progam is a good WYSIWYG creater with lots of features.

Social Media: this I myself is lacking so my information I wouldn't use as the grail since I do this myself: List in all the major sites: Google+, Facebook company page, yahoo local, bing local, pintrest and any other sites. try to keep information updated regularly.

Also personally I have found very good business from your local BNI / Brag group chapters, Kind of an investment up front but I have recouped my investment about 5 times over in the first 6 months.

For printed material I just use the printer from my BNI group since they offer discounts and the prices are very reasonable.

The most important on the store is location, location, location. Hiring a commercial research company / real estate agent will probably be your best move.

I hope this helps a little, and I wish you good luck and a successful business
