I would look into buying 1600 Mhz RAM over 1333Mhz since it is faster, and why buy two separate RAMs when you can buy a 2x4GB package?

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($109.98 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: MSI 970A-G43 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($69.98 @ OutletPC)
Memory: G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory ($76.50 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 750GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($54.24 @ Amazon)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Superclocked Video Card ($134.99 @ NCIX US)
Case: Azza Spartan CSAZ-102E ATX Mid Tower Case ($66.99 @ Mwave)
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $562.67
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Reasons for changes -
1) Much better CPU for only 10 more dollars
2) You don't need to buy to separate sticks of ram, they come in 2x4gb which is cheaper than buying each stick separately.
3) You'll only need 500w really, so I added a cheaper (but highly rated) 550w psu.
4) With the left over money I put in a batter graphics card.

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($57.23 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Video Card ($125.00 @ Newegg)

And if you can afford an extra $35 get this for the GPU:

If you go for a AMD build, the fx 6300 is much better than the fx 4300 for only a few $$ more.

However I would change the mobo to a Gigabyte GA-UD3P since the MSI G43 is known for having heat issues while the UD3P is one of the best options in that price range. Also would grab a 1 tb HDD for the same price and if you wanted to overclock you would need a CPU cooler eventually

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($74.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($53.98 @ OutletPC)

Oh didn't see that it was a 750gb thought it was a 1tb. And I agree, that's a better motherboard.

I agree with numanator......i3 is better for a new gamer....fx 6300 can be oced but you need more money for coolers and mbs...i3 will qualify for this job...
