my computer did not detect extra storage

i have a computer, build on my own, for some reason in installing window, i had to take 1 of the storage off ( unplug it ) it's WD blue 1TB hdd, i plan to use 2 hard drive at the time, 1 HDD and 1 SSD ( sandisk extreme 2, 240gb), now the window is successfully installed, but my computer only detected and run 1 hard drive which is the SSD, the HDD is plugged accurately and look like it's running, i am using the asus maximus hero VII motherboard

does anyone know how to fix it ? please leave any advise, it will be so helpful to me

When you're doing an initial build, having more than one drive installed can cause the system to hang up, as you discovered. If your Windows is installed and your system boots without issue, power down and disconnect the HDD again. Power your system up, then update all of your drivers. Download the drivers from the Hero support page (linked below), as the ones on the support disk are usually not up to date.

Once that's done, shut down the computer, reconnect the HDD, and power up. Then hit the Start button and type in "Computer Management" and hit return. Click on "Disk Management", then configure your drive.
