Hello all,
About a month ago I booted my home-built system and it lost power a minute in. Every time since then when I have tried to turn it on nothing has happened besides a faint "boing" form the PSU, a Seasonic X-750 Gold. I tested the PSU with a multimeter and fount that it is outputting the correct voltage. Today I plugged the system in, without a monitor, and pressed the power button. Fans came on, lights flashed, it started running its startup (I think). It soon lost power after 30 sec. I disconnected the GPU, an Nvidia GTX770, and still could not get it to boot.

Thanks for your time, any suggestions?

Make sure your 8pin power cord is connected into the socket the whole way (beside your CPU)

Okay, so I've reseated the cables, making sure the connections are firm. They are all plugged in properly and securely. Still nothing though... Any other ideas?

Do a Cmos reset... (remove the battery on your motherboard for 2-3mins and place it back in (keep in mind this will clear any overclocks etc in the bios)

I've heard of this, but I'm a little confused. If I go through with that will I lose any other data or essential software? The only thing I have in the BIOS is the boot order and RAM profiles, which will be easy to reconfigure.

your software is stored on your HDD, same with your OS. All the battery does it hold your bios settings while your computer is turned off
(Like how your car keeps your pre-programmed radio stations even though it's turned off... the battery)

Boot order is going to default to your HDD & Ram you can easily re-apply your settings. Takes no time at all

So I googled around and found that when the mobo booted the last time, it showed the code "A0," meaning the system booted into the OS and there were no BIOS problems. Other forums said resetting CMOS wasn't necessary if this is the case. I am so thankful for your help thus far, but do you have any other ideas? Would you still like me to clear CMOS?

It's your call. That would be my next step to be honest so you know for a fact you're running fresh. Disconnect your GPU and try to start up with on-board graphics.
