Get the WD Black drive to have longer warranty and higher performance.

Wd blue 1tb in my rig and no problems, had a seagate 250 drive and constant drops in performance.

We have longer success and fewer failures over 6,000 DM001s than the 4,000 WD Blacks, though. I no longer believe "Warranty periods" is a statement of guaranteed quality - it IS an agreement between the manufacturer and its distribution channel to maintain a quantity-on-hand for replacements. That means "paying taxes on unsold inventory." This is a big deal.
