hello guys, my current system is an i3 2120, a single 500gb HDD and a 500W 80+ PSU with 41A on the 12V Rail
http://www.sentey.com/en/hbp500-sm there you can find more specs about it.

I was wanting to get a r9 270x and was wondering if that PSU was enough to handle it, or if i should aim lower (chaning PSU isnt an option right now) for something like a R7 265 or so.

This is the VGA i have in mind: http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/produc...

Thanks!!

Yes, it should be just fine. It's made by Super Flower, one of the best PSU makers around. Great PSU with more than enough watts/amps for the R9 270X.

Thanks for the answer, then i double checked with my psu and the 12V rail was different that what it sais on the site, i foound this pdf on the same site with different info, i am confused now http://www.sentey.com/media/datasheet/en/Power%20Suppli...

Is this still strong enough? Is that also built by Super Flower? why would they have two versions of the same PSU?

They are both the same PSU, the HBP500-SM, but it looks like one of them is a newer revision. One has a 5 year warranty, the other a 3 year, and they have a little different specs as far as watts on the +12v rail etc. They are both made by Super Flower and both recommended PSUs.

Okay then, thank you very much!! Appreciate the help. One last thing, what do you think would be the best VGA that this set up could run without any upgrade?

You're looking at the right range with the R9 270X. I think you could do an R9 280. Some would say even the 280X if you really wanted to push that PSU to its limits.
