DVD Drive Buzzing sound even when empty?

My Dvd Drive makes a Buzzing sound even when empty although only audible when im really close to it though or if i open it, is this normal?

check to see if the screws are loose or maybe a rail.
I had to put some electrical tape on the side of mine to tightne the fit up because a rail was just a hair too loose and it would vibrate.
