I am stuck between the purchase of a wireless adapter PCI-e card and a powerline adapter for my PC. Where my pc will be going is somewhat far from my router, and there is quite a few walls so I'm worried about connection issues, but also my house is about 70 years old and I don't know if the powerline adapter would work any better.

For the wireless adapters I was thinking of one of these two:

For the Powerline Adapter I was thinking about this one:

I'm not very knowledgeable about either and some help on the matter would be very appreciated.

Either the WiFi adapter or the Powerline adapter can get the job done. The hardware you selected is quite a reasonable choice.

All things being equal, I would personally try first to get WiFi working. In the end, you never know which is really going to work better until you try it. I would vote for the WiFi network, as it most likely will offer a faster speed, and also will more easily allow for your network to grow as you add devices. My opinion is that powerline is a great option for when wifi does not work. I also use my powerline network as a backup for when the router is not working.

Also, consider a wifi range extender that can help to get the wifi signal further.
