I have a Gigabyte AMD Radeon R9 280X Windforce OC Rev 2 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...) that has 1 DVI port, 1 HDMI port, and 2 mini-DisplayPorts. I have 3 identical ASUS 24" 2ms monitors that have a DVI port, VGA port, and an HDMI port. The two outside displays are connected via mini-DisplayPort to HDMI cables and only one of them is recognized by Windows. The middle is conected via HDMI cable and it is recognized by Windows.

This card claims that it can support 3 monitors. If I disable on of the two working monitors, I can enable the third, but only if the one is off. Why isn't my other mini-DP monitor being recognized?

Thank you for your help.

You have to make sure that all of your connections to the panels are active types. This is something that no one ever hears about. My buddy just ran into this problem and I can ask him specifically what the active type was call in the morning.

I have both mini-Displayports connected via Active Displayports, and if I disable one of the monitors, I can enable another.
