Ok so i recently got a corsair 450d case, so I felt it was time to get a gpu other than my integrated graphics. So I purchased a MSI GTX 660 twin frozr oc card. And I have a Antec strictly power 450w psu. I plugged my card in to my pci express x16 slot and when I booted up the screen was black, but the gpu fans and my cpu fans were working fine . So the problem is my computer is working but justdisplaying my computer. And yes I
1. Plugged my 6pin in firmly
2. Disabled Integrated graphics
3. Connected my hdmi
chord into the gpu not my mobo.

Thanks in advance to anyone wgo can help me.

UFFI is a new kind/type of BIOS, newer motherboard and GPU card have this..

it brings 3d model or graphical interface/visual instead of plain text in BIOS setting, and other improvement...

the bad thing is it not compatible with older motherboard that don't have UFFI support..
so usually most GPU have dual BIOS old legacy and newer UFFI u can select, (to ensure compatibility)..

U can try reading the card manual and check that, to make sure this is the problems / not...

need clarification..

black screen means it cannot even display POST/BIOS screen right?

Is the new card using UFFI bios? since i heard UFFI card also needs UFFI capable motherboard..
(have not tested my self yet, still using old mobo/gpu)

If the card have bios selector to select between UFFI & legacy bios/mode. try legacy one
