Hello,

my friend has a very low budget of Rs 25000/- barely above $400.

He requires a pc which will run trading software which is pretty lame resource requirement but he also wants to play games like dota , guild wars 2 etc on medium or low settings.. he is not very pc pro and all he keeps asking me is "a game should run smoothly.. i dont care if its on medium settings .. "

So i thought an APU would be good for him? he has no problem whether the system is amd or intel based.

Also, which is a good budget motherboard for apu ?

I think i will have to put in at least 1600 mhz 4 gb ram in it

i dont think i want to put in an SSD in his pc, as he would run out of budget

cabinet, mouse/kb/ monitor and hdd not needed.

kindly suggest a build with above requirements

thanks so much. :)

Solution
You can run DotA and GW2 on a calculator, they are not resource intensive. An APU would be fine

Although I will add that you should get a quad core APU (A8 or A10) for best performance on GW2

And as you have done here, make sure you check out as many Google reviews as possible before purchasing any integrated graphics solution...if gaming is an important consideration...just to give both of you a heads up. They have been improving over the years. A proper review will give you a lot more info on the overall set up possibilities.

I'm not sure how much of this is available in India but this could be a guideline to get you started.
