Hi, When i was uninstalling my R9 290X I stupidly forgot to undo the lock/latch at the end of the PCI port, This made it suddenly snap off, My computer appears to be fine otherwise and nothing happened in the bios or anything. Will i be ok to install my GTX 780 Ti in the slot without the latch?
I have a MSI Z87-G45 Gaming, And the NZXT H440 Case.

If its working then it should be fine. Just don't bump it.

Slot 2 will run at x8 - which will still be OK

Will the card be able to hold itself in place?

As long as the piece of plastic is the only thing that's broken it should be just fine.

Also my motherboard doesnt quite fit into the case, AS in its out of place by like 1cm, Meaning the io port isnt quite in, And that my wifi card and graphics card are at a slight angle. Do you know hy this is?

That's odd, that's an ATX-mobo and an ATX-compatible case.
Are you sure you put the screws in the right holes?

Yeah one hole i dint need 2 since there was already a thing on the case for it, Which helped me align it

But it's clearly not aligned correctly.

You could try aligning it with the backplate and just checking for the closest screwholes.

I tried doing it, The motherboard wouldnt move but i installed my 780 Ti and it worked perfectly so nothing to worry about. Also i found the latch and it clipped back in suprisingly. I got a score of 9663 on fire strike if your interested. Thanks for your help anyway :)

Hey if it's not a problem there's no point in fixing it. It was the whole GPU-at-an-angle thing that worried me ;)

That's a good score, my SLI'd 660s with an FX-8150 @ 4.2GHz only get me 7240.
