Cannot boot to HDD, RAID card failure/incompatibility?

Hello everyone

I upgraded my PC and now I have problems booting it.

My new hardware:
Mainboard: AsRock Z97 Extreme 6
CPU: Intel Core i5
Graphics: 2x GTX 770 (SLI)
RAM: 2x 4GB
RAID Controller: RocketRaid 2680LF

The problem I am experiencing:
Problem 1) When having the RAID Controller installed, the RAID configuration and BIOS loads fine. I can see RocketRaid as boot device and in the RAID configuration the status is good, I can select the HDD to boot from. After POST I hear the startup-boot-beep from and then I get a black screen with blinking cursor. I cannot boot to the HDD and I can't boot to CDROM (Windows CD), even if I select it as boot prio 1 in BIOS.

I get two error codes on Dr. Debug (LED on my mainboard) with:
- b2 or 62 (can't tell, but in my booklet b2 does not exist) so 62 is: Chipset init error, please reset
- A2: Problem related to IDE or SATA devices

Problem 2) So I started unplugging devices, like USB devices, 2nd Graphics card (initially I thought this was causing the problem), at last I removed the RocketRaid Controller card and then I can boot to Windows CD (at least that). However when I do and the I see the Windows Logo, my USB devices (mouse + keyboard) are powered off, so I'm not able to continue in the setup screen. Reconnecting the devices had no effect.

For Problem 1)
It seems that either my Raid Controller somehow broke, when I put it in the new mainboard or it is incompatible with the mainboard (although I see no indication in BIOS, but I get the error code A2). Is there anything I can try, like doing a BIOS upgrade or something? Any other suggestions? I guess if my RAID Controller doesn't work all my data is lost, since it won't be readable by the onboard raid controller and I'd have to install windows freshly anyway. :(

For Problem 2)
Anything I can try do to get my USB keyboard working in windows setup, when I boot to CD? They are working in BIOS setup by the way.

Thanks for any advice

Solution
Ok, I solved it meanwhile.

The Windows installation (probably MBR) was faulty for a while. I forgot about it, because Windows bootet in 'Test mode' and everything worked fine.

When putting the new hardware together the PC couldn't boot from this MBR. Obviously I looked in other places for an error.

The second problem was that I connected mouse and keyboard to USB 3.0 ports and Windows 7 only supports 2.0. I was able to use a USB 2.0 port on my mainboard with a cable I had.

Now I reinstalled Windows and everything works fine.
